Mexico – Day 13: Club Med, nothing else
28 July 2026 · Klaus Demo · #mexico
Today we really let ourselves enjoy the club.
For breakfast we went to the restaurant with table service and a menu. My partner hadn't wanted to go there at first. And it was a bit awkward to begin with, because we were the only guests. On the other hand we had the entire staff to ourselves, constantly recommending us other great things. I think in the end my partner thought it was pretty cool too.
While we ate we watched the staff. They had their hands full bringing in the sargassum harvest. A lot of it had washed up overnight. The stretch in the bay was mainly affected, sadly the best swimming beach.
After that it was my suggestion to go to yoga at 9. That was pretty demanding. It was yin yoga, where you hold very uncomfortable positions for a very long time.
Afterwards my partner went snorkelling and I flew the drone. I went along the beaches and also filmed the resort from above, including the little island where all the activities happen, which we only ever call Wii Sports Island. At the moment you have to take a boat across because there is construction on the land route.
In the afternoon it was circus time for my partner. Trapeze, and they even managed the catch!
I went to pilates and stretching afterwards, before tonight's Mexican evening.
At dinner two GOs sat down with us again. One of them was a very talkative Canadian who talked us into it, no, who guaranteed us that he can teach us to sail in 15 minutes. That I would like to see. I will take that bet.
We are making full use of the fitness programme here. I have never done that at a Club Med before. Always yet another sport I haven't fallen over in yet. 😀
Joking aside. There is simply a very good offering here.
Addendum: at the end there was also the Tequila Road. It reminded us of the Rum Road in Mauritius.
